Get relief from anxiety, OCD, and negative thought cycles — backed by one of the most extensively researched therapies available.
Is Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy (CBT) right for you?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you catch and reframe negative thoughts before they spiral into anxiety or self-doubt.
Maybe a friend cancels plans and your first thought is: "They don't actually like me." Maybe every work presentation or exam brings a wave of "I'm going to embarrass myself" or "Everyone's going to find out I don't know what I'm doing." Anxiety takes over, sleep disappears, and the cycle repeats — until it feels constant.
CBT breaks that pattern at its source. With the help of a licensed CBT therapist, you learn to catch the thought, reality-check it, and respond differently. It's structured, practical, and time-limited — most people start to see meaningful change within a few months.
It's a powerful approach, but not a one-size-fits-all solution. Here's how to know if CBT might be right for you:
CBT may not be best for you if…
- Your mental health challenges stem from past trauma or complex trauma that you have not worked through yet
- You want to dive deep into understanding your past, rather than focusing on the present or future
- You are not willing to practice tools outside of sessions, preferring to do all of the work directly alongside your therapist
CBT might be a great option if…
- You notice negative thoughts or spiraling thinking patterns causing you distress
- You prefer to focus on your present goals, rather than exploring your past experiences
- You are willing to do some “homework,” practicing new skills and implementing tools on your own between sessions

How does Cognitive Behavioral Therapy work?
Every client is different, but here's what you can expect when you get started:
Identify & challenge your thoughts
During our sessions, we’ll talk through your anxious moments to uncover what thoughts may have kicked it off. Then we “reality-check” each thought, seeing how true or untrue they are.
Build & practice coping skills
During our sessions and at home, you’ll work on practicing noticing and reality-checking your thoughts. You will also learn and practice new skills for coping with anxiety such as relaxation, visualization, mindfulness, journaling, and problem solving.
Track & maintain progress
Let’s celebrate how far you’ve come! We regularly review your goals and progress, adjusting our approach as needed. As you improve, we'll work on strategies to maintain your progress and handle future challenges.
